Hypnosis allows for a relaxed state of mind and body, because you are guided into a daydream! During the sessions you are completely aware of where you are and what is being said throughout the whole treatment. Driving a car and suddenly realising you have arrived at your destination is like a trance state, the subconscious mind taking over the task at hand. This is completely natural and we all do it, all the time.
Hypnosis is all about changing the thought patterns of the subconscious mind. Going into a relaxed state and finding out from the subconscious mind where and when the ‘issue’ began. You will never be able to do anything against your beliefs or moral code, or allow yourself to do anything that could be life threatening or against your ethics. It is like a ‘re-boot’ can take place and ‘updated’ information can be stored in place of the negative thinking that created the issue, therefore allowing your subconscious mind to agree with your conscious mind.
If you are ready and willing to be open and honest about your issue, you can change your life and be free of whatever it is that is holding you back from having the life you want. However, if someone else is asking you to change and you really don’t want to, nothing I can offer you will help you. You do have to want to make the changes for any therapy to be successful.
